Work.
Evidently, work is where ideas go to die... (haha, laughter)
Not if your work is something you enjoy…
But most people (80% or higher) have jobs they absolutely hate.
I just recorded a message for a friend of mine who lives in Austin, Texas, talking about his girlfriend having an opportunity to work for Apple.
She just got an offer for a $140k a year salary, plus bonuses and all kinds of benefits. It’s something that she always wanted, but it comes with a caveat. She’ll have to commute 3-4 times a week to the office.
Right now, she has a $120k job which is 100% remote and apparently, she likes it.
What would you do?
Would you stay remote and have the option to work from anywhere, be able to travel, decide your own work hours, have the option to change where you live if you don’t like it…
Or would you choose the office, the commute, the fixed place?
I guess it depends on your own circumstances but for me... coming from a nomadic background and having a ton of travel under my belt, the choice is more than obvious.
I would stay remote.
And that’s because I’m introverted and don’t like when someone is telling me what to do.
And the idea of moving freely from place to place whenever I want makes me excited.
It's, in fact, what I’m building right now so that one day I can do my design work, run my blog, and my tiny businesses from anywhere in the world.
It's a simple dream.
For example…
I always wanted to explore the Italian Alps.
There is a place called San Cassiano which is an absolutely breathtaking place located between the mountains in the Dolomites that’s an ideal place to work from… not just for the beautiful scenery wherever you look but because it’s a peaceful place that offers a range of thrill-seeking activities you can do in your free time.
Another exciting place on my list is Hvar in Croatia…
It’s one of the sunniest places in Europe with more than 300 sunny days per year and stunning co-working spaces by the sea, this is an ideal place to work from.
Just imagine for a second...
No commute to work.
No boss looking over your shoulder.
No sitting in the office... instead taking your laptop to a cafferia by the beach, wearing flipflops, and a t-shirt, where you can work on your project while enjoying the beautiful day.
Seriously, I couldn't care less if they offered me $20k or 40K extra, plus whatever the bonus.
Freedom is more important to me than money.
And the reason why I’m telling you this story is because last year I discovered something that changed my life and finally put me on the right path.
And I promise you, If you give it a chance, you gonna free yourself from the shyt that comes from having a full time job.
This is as simple as it can get.
Strategy that anyone can learn… no matter your experience or skill level.
It actually doesn’t matter if you have any experience at all…
